Your staff was very good. Jana, I believe her name was was outstanding helpful and friendly. The staff the next day was very good also.
The hotel decor is somewhat dated but it was clean (with one dreadful exception, which when we made the staff aware of it they were very apologetic. Not theirs or the cleaning staffs fault, blame a previous guest.
We had some difficulty making reservations through the hotel’s corporate website. The site booked us at the wrong hotel, then when we tried to correct it, it was sorry sir, there are no more rooms available in the hotel you want. We can book you at another hotel for double the price or at a hotel at the same price but 10 miles away.
After some “discussion” with the customer service line, they cancelled our non-refundable reservation. You could hear the frustration in the customer service reps voice. She was only supposed to rebook us at another of the IHG corporations hotels.
Ok. But a day later we were able to book the exact same room through Hotels.com.
I don’t know how the hotel business works, but it sure seems like this could have been a smoother, less frustrating process.
I write the above so maybe some hotel management will take it to heart and make some changes..
For anyone considering staying here: the location is amazing. The staff is super friendly and helpful. The hotel is clean and the room was huge with a great view.
If it weren’t for the reservation issues I’d perfectly happy.
