Hard pass on this hotel
Staff didn’t greet me at checkin. Was like I was a bother to them. Breakfast had basically nothing to eat. Toilet seat had plastic peeling off it. Was a dirty towel laying on bed when went in room. Heater ran not stop because it was under window that had a cold draft . Room key stopped working so had to go back to front desk to get another one. Overall not a good experience. Must be why all the other hotels in area had full parking lots and this one only had a few cars in lot. Will not stay here again.

Misinformation that could have cost us
We were told we could have an extended checkout time no charge until 2 pm. $25 if we wanted a checkout at 5pm We double checked if the checkout time at breakfast and was told no extensions at all unless we paid $40

Welcome Home
My stay was good. Breakfast could be a little more exciting. The smell of someone smoking_vaping in a nonsmoking room was uncomfortable. The front desk was awesome!

much needed updates, and breakfast had limited food. Juice machine was not dispensing properly and selection of hot food was limiting. But despite the old run down look of the interior, it was clean.

The room I stayed in was okay. The shower was older and could use an update, but the bathroom was clean (ish). The building is older, which is fine, but it has not been kept up very well. The doors to outside are beat up, and dirty. The hallway carpet did not give the impression that it was clean. The elevator wass also beat up and dirty. The stairwells upstairs were also trashy, needing a good power wash and painting/stripping. The pool was closed down for the season, but the deck was full of trash and various things, and there was one window for one of the rooms on the lower level that was boarded up. There were just many things that did not make a guest feel safe in a strange city.

First and foremost you charged me for the room twice and Ican't get anyone to answer the phone! You charged my card and my father's card! Had to sleep with the light on. The same light switch that turns off the light, also turns off the T.V. so, if you want the t.v. on at night, the light stays on as well. The room smelled very musty. There was no bodywash in the bottles attached to the walls in the bathroom. There was urine on the toilet that wasn't cleaned. The entire 3rd floor (the floor I was staying on) reeked of marijuana. Staff was very nice, but I will not be staying there again.

Driving up on the location made me instantly regret making a reservation. There are apparently two hotels in the same Building, the Wingate and the Baymont. There was no signage on the building and I would have thought it was close if it had not been for people walking in and out of the rooms. My room ended up on the third floor, on to find out they they do not have an elevator to the third floor (Well they do but it was out of order.) The room's curtains did not cover the window, and there was a bright parking lot right outside the window. I was able to maneuver the curtains so they blocked most (like 80%) of the light. In the morning, there no sugar free options for the free breakfast. Just pancakes, muffins, and sugary cereals. Asked if there was any plain oatmeal meal but the answer was no. Ended up going to a Starbucks. I would not suggest this place.

First room, headboard fell off the wall. Came back after being gone at my wedding and my door was open. Second room our room had been entered and a $150 was stolen put of our room.

Staff couldn’t care less. I’m disabled but they wouldn’t give me a first floor room, instead shuttling me off to the third. Turns out the elevator call button is broke. In the morning I was stranded on the third floor landing and couldn’t get back into the building because a security door locked behind me. No one answered repeated calls. A fellow guest came to my assistance after twenty minutes. When I got to the lobby, the staff was having a gabfest. I complained about the problem and the reply was “ oh yeah, the elevator call button don’t work “.

While it initially seemed like a safe part of town, it was not when we got there. The hotel seems to rent to long term customers who sit outside their rooms smoking weed, drinking and yelling. They run in and out of their doors all night just letting them slam. Room was filthy, had food and candy in the carpet, no soap shampoo or conditioner in the containers provided. The air vent in the bathroom was black with mold. Walking past rooms to our room, so many doors were unlocked and standing open. I know pot is legal here but I don’t want to smell it. Hallways, sidewalks and common areas are filled with people smoking weed. Not a good look for Wyndham. I would not recommend this place. There were many dogs as well.
