My stay at the Red Roof Inn was largely positive. I understand that reviews are subjective, so I’ll note that my experience is based on my own preferences and expectations.
A crucial aspect for me is the availability of hot water for showers, as it helps me relax after a long 10-hour workday. Unfortunately, the shower water was lukewarm, which was quite disappointing, though the sink’s water was sufficiently hot.
Apart from this, I have no major complaints. The area around the hotel was safe and quiet, and my room was clean and odor-free. Housekeeping was reliable, consistently providing fresh towels daily and making the bed every few days. The TV channel selection was limited, and I missed out on the NBA playoffs, but this is more of a personal inconvenience than a fault of the hotel.
For the price per night compared to other hotels I’ve stayed in over the past two months in Memphis, the Red Roof Inn provided superior service and room features. The air conditioning was effective, and the beds were comfortable. The hotel’s location was also convenient, with a Cracker Barrel next door, which was perfect for me as a traveling electrician needing a hot meal. Additionally, everything I needed was within a five-minute drive, and the hotel was just 30 minutes from my work site and right off the highway.
Overall, the Red Roof Inn met most of my preferences and expectations at a reasonable price. I would rate my experience at 3.5 to 4 stars out of 5.
