A huge step down from our usual experience
The room we were put in is right next to an outdoor entrance and we were awoken both mornings and kept up one night by the exterior door slamming. There was also an extremely strong odor that came into our room one night.
We looked outside of our room to find it and it appeared to be from some cleaning that took place in the ice machine, stairwell area next to our room. The smell was very artificial and overwhelming. But we were so tired we couldn't imagine trying to change rooms at that point.
I find it odd when the hotel
Is quite obviously not full why they would put anyone in a room that is going to receive so much noise and disruption.
When we came back to our room at the end of the first day it hadn’t really been cleaned. The beds were made and we had fresh towels but the cups we had used were still there, no fresh ones provided. Our coffee had. It been replaced and our ice bucket did not have a fresh liner.
I also find it irritating that they continue to charge for parking. The hotel has its own lot and there is no shortage or spaces. In addition there is no security for the parking lot that I have ever seen, nor any valet. So what are we paying for?
