I booked in January and paid then. I uploaded identity documents at that time and jumped through all the (frankly unecessary) hoops theat Abode requested at that time.
Then about two days before arrival I got an email from an unrecognised and frankly sketchy email address, asking me for all sorts of credit card information, by email , which goes against all banking advice and procedures. Threatened with cancellation and a no show at that.
Appallling way to treat a customer. They say it's standard procedure, but I can assure you its not. The online form asked for none of that at the time of booking.
