Great location, friendly staff, noisy rooms
If you don't have money to waste, Huntley Lodge is your place to stay at Big Sky, Montana. It is close to the slopes (in fact, almost on the slopes) the rooms are clean and big and the staff is friendly (to a point you wonder if they are on some kind of drugs). The breakfast is exstensive, but everybody needs to be escorted to their table, so there is always a long waiting line. The hotel has some more issues: the walls and ceilings are super thin, so if your neighbour farts, you will hear it. If the people upstairs are awake, you will be as well. If somebody in the general area of your room uses the shower, it will sound as if there is a river running through your room. There are a lot of families with children in the hotel, be aware! After 3pm, the pool is mostly full of kids, so be ready for some splashing. The 2 hot tubs were not very clean, there was an issue with the filter system. One day the hotel sent some poor guy to clean them, that didn't help at all. On several days our room was not cleaned before 4pm, not very convenient when you're coming back from a day on the slopes. All in all, I would not recommend this hotel, but all the other places are much more expensive and/or in worse locations, so...
