8/10
The location of the hotel is great, especially when you travel by train. Gare du Nord is less than a 10-minute walk away, which is ideal. Furthermore, the location of the hotel is well situated in relation to the various districts and sights and it's close to different Metro stations. Which you'll need, because Paris is a big city and the distances between districts are often quite large. Overall the hotel was good and clean, with friendly, helpful staff. The hotel is being renovated and that's necessary, especially downstairs in the lobby and breakfast area to give it a bit more appeal, worthy of three stars. The room was clean and big enough for a family of three. It was already renovated in a nice "multi-cultural" style, although they do need to pay some attention to the details such as the painting and re-hanging several lamps in the room and bathroom. A bit more closet space and a fridge in the room would also be a good addition, but overall a nice, comfortable room with good beds. Breakfast was ok, but could be a bit more extensive for the price.
I think that if they renovate and refresh some area's and all the rooms and halls in their own unique style, to give it a bit more appeal and charisma, they have a great hotel, ideal for a citytrip to Paris.
