Dear Cosmopolitan Hotel Management/Customer Service Team,
I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with my recent stay on October 27th. The condition of the room was far below expectations and did not match the images, or description provided online. Perhaps because I booked through Hotels.com- I am not sure why I was placed in such a dated room.
Upon arrival, I found the windows dirty, blinds broken, and visible cracks in the ceiling, giving the room an overall neglected appearance. The decor was reminiscent of a fraternity house, and there was no city view as advertised. Instead, my room faced an office tower, significantly reducing privacy. The hallways were uncomfortably cold, and the bed was hard and uncomfortable, making it difficult to rest. The lighting was poorly designed, with an odd mix of warm and cool bulbs throughout the room.
Additionally, when I checked in and left my bag with the front desk, it was delivered to my room in a haphazard manner. My shirt and jackets were placed on a desk rather than being hung in the closet. Moreover, I was not informed about ongoing construction at the hotel in any correspondence after booking.
Due to time constraints for a business function, I had limited opportunities to address these issues with the front desk. The room itself felt insecure due to a damaged door lock, and I was uncomfortable throughout my stay. To add to the discomfort, the floor in front of the bathroom was sticky
