I chose this hotel because I was in Denver for an event downtown, and it was across the street from my son’s apartment. Rooftop taco restaurant was great. Service was welcoming and expeditious. The food was delicious. The 9-taco sampler was a fun choice for our group. Margaritas were very good. The coffee bar in the lobby was also staffed with friendly folks who made a good coffee drink. Front desk staff was welcoming and attentive. The room was small but adequate. It appeared to be clean. The bed was comfortable, and the AC worked like a champ in the 90 degree heat. Clothing hanging space and drawers were limited. No microwave in the room, but there was one in the lobby. My only real complaint was that I believe the previous guests in my room must have traveled with the 2-dog maximum per room because my room had a distinct dog smell. I purchased a car vent air freshener and fastened it to the AC vent, which helped a great deal. Also the built in reading lights on the bed would not shut off as designed. A clever previous guest pushed a room key folder into the receptacle so the light switch would be pushed to “off” when the light was returned to the “off position.” If you love a classic local diner and/or cinnamon rolls, check out “The Butcher Block Cafe”. If my son wasn’t moving, I’d probably stay here again.
