Close to perfection
Vietnam is a country where not everything is perfect, and that is one of its many charms. But.... The Intercontinental Residences came close to perfection. I can't remember a check in that went so smooth and friendly. The young man at the reception can't have been working in the hospitality industry for a long time due to his age, but he showed how it needs to be done: personal, friendly, smooth. We had asked for an extra bed in the room, and when we entered it wasn't there. I felt almost sorry to confront him with that, but it was arranged within a couple of minutes. Vietnamese people are friendly, but this young men gave new standards to professionalism and friendliness. I have even wrote his manager to compliment on the excellent job he had done. And that was just the beginning of a perfect stay. All of the staff went out of their way to make us comfortable and our stay without worries. The only bad side is that I dread going to other hotels, now I have seen how it should be done.
