We booked this because we needed somewhere to stay over Christmas to relax and settle for a few weeks. Mistake.
1. The room we booked was not what we got. We chose based on pictures provided and did not choose the basic studio because we did not want it. We were given the basic studio shown in the pictures not the “business” studio we booked. When I mentioned this to the agent (via translator) she said that they have no control over what images are shown. That’s factually untrue and just a cop out.
2. The unit had electrical safety issues. The cooktop was respliced and taped with electrical tape to have the correct plug. Considering you can purchase these here with the right plug this was crazy. As well, the outlet by the veg was hanging out of the wall.
3. The bed… just no. It was the hardest mattress we ever had on our vacation. Neither of us slept a full night.
4. When we decided we couldn’t stay and wanted to leave early the host eventually sat it was all sorted with Expedia and so we proceeded with giving the key back (13 days early) only to find they lied. They had never responded to the MANY times Expedia reached out. The host said she wished I had told them I wasn’t happy with the place sooner (like I hadn’t said it when we got there). They were not truthful and use the best photos they have to rent out the others.
I have never complained about a place in over 10 years of travel, but this host lied and manipulated the trust we have in booking through Expedia.
