Hotel da Baixa is a great 4* hotel in the centre of Lisbon. If you stay here, you won’t need to spend much on public transport or taxis, as many tourist attractions are within walking distance. Many bars and restaurants are within walking distance too, as well as the port. I was in room 115.
It is an old building, and the outside cannot be altered. For that reason, some rooms don’t have much natural light. However, there are lots of lights within the room as well as a reading light, and the bathroom has many lights. The bathroom was large with a nice rain shower and 2 sinks. The toiletries provided were great too. There is a laundry service you can pay for if you need it, as well as a hairdryer, umbrella, safe with charging facility inside it, and minibar with some free drinks and bottled water provided daily inside the room and at reception. During the day, fruit or pastries are often available for free. The free walking tour with Pedro was also great and informative. The bed was super-comfortable, and I loved the bathrobe and slippers. The breakfast, which was included in the room rate, was great with lots of cereal, bread, hot food, fruit and waffles or omelettes can be made there and then. The only thing I would suggest is to have the wait staff walk around and see if anyone wants more coffee. This would be a simple thing to do and save always having to get their attention.
