The land of foam plates and bad service
You know those reviews that people say the hotel is bad and you think “naw, it should be ok. I’ll book anyways”… this is your sign to NOT do that and slowly walk away. This hotel looks good in pictures and when you get there, but once you see through the façade you will notice it’s an overpriced hotel that has no sense of care about their service. We reported an issue with our mini fridge and shower head and it took us 7 reports and one day to get it fixed. You will also notice when walking around the employees just yelling at each other from hallways or sitting on the ground using their phones. The food at the buffet was ALWAYS cold and if you wanted to take some food out of the buffet? They will get you a foam plate and a 7oz plastic cup. When did I suddenly end up at my grandmothers Christmas party and not at a 5 star hotel? I’m someone chill with the little things but I work hard for my money and this did not meet my expectations.
The only good thing from my stay was the hydrotherapy at the spa and our dinner at Gondola (Italian Rest) where we were assisted by Andy. Andy was amazing and professional! The pool is pretty looking and the beach is also ok, be mindful that the tile around the hotel and the room get very slippery. And you might think, how do I know it was this hotel bad? My flight got canceled and we got booked at another hotel (4 star and a bit more casual). This place is 100x better than Lopesan. If you value your money, don’t stay here!
