We book several weeks in advance, corona happens, so few days before we leave we actually call to make sure to confirm, "all is good, come on down". Well we fly to Budapest, we walk in the hotel to find out that no one is there except construction workers. we ask around, finally the captain of the boat comes and says hotel is closed for renovations. great, now we are here without a hotel room. We call the front desk (while standing in front of the front desk), the girl at front desk picks up and goes into argument with us that she never told us to come and that we should find a different hotel because they are renovating. Long story short we went to the hotel next door and booked a room (paid again for a room) and stayed there for our period in Budapest. Luckily we got our money back from Expedia. But this should not be a way to run a business.
