I want to start by saying this hotel is beautiful, has great design and style, and the staff tried their best and were very nice. This was, however, the most disappointing hotel experience I have ever had.
We stayed two nights and had to move twice, for a total of three rooms in two days! In the first room, the TV didn't work and there is a barn door on the bathroom - it's awful, zero privacy if you are rooming with anyone else. To remedy the broken tv, they moved us to a gorgeous new room where the heat didn't work and which was right under the restaurant in the former church above - it was like elephants overhead, pacing back and forth. Half the blinds on the ground floor windows didn't work. We moved again and in our final room, the tv's speakers were blown and we were back to a bathroom with a barn door. But at least there was some heat - we still needed two space heaters.
This hotel has only been open for one month - how are two out of three tvs broken? How is the solution to poor heating multiple space heaters? (We had three space heaters going in room #2 and two in room #3.)
I wanted to love this hotel but it was an awful experience. I will say again that the staff was great, but were doomed to failure by a hotel that is not ready to be open. As an aside, the restaurant is FANTASTIC. We said that next time we'll stay at a B&B nearby but will definitely return to the restaurant and bar.
