Well located, but tiny rooms and bad service
Positive:
The hotel is well located and clean. The mattress is firm, and the pillows are good.
Negative:
The rooms are very small.
The bathroom is tiny, the shower head was too large: in order to have it held on the shower bar, we had to wedge it behind the bar.
There was no TV remote in our room, we had to ask one at the counter on our second day.
Breakfast was OK but the hot food (eggs, mushrooms, bacon) was way too salty.
The waiters are not very reactive: tables are not always cleaned.
I asked for napkins, the lady went to get some but instead of handing some over to me, she went to refill the box located below the food counter, and just walked away. I had to stand there and wait until the other people were done at the food counter to take a napkin.
The lady at the checkin counter first gave us a room without view on a lower floor, whereas another (hetero) couple before us got a room with view. When asked, she gave us another room on a higher floor, but still no view. Why? Because we are a same-sex couple? This seemed unfair as I specifically asked in our reservation if we could get something special because we were there to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary and I wanted to surprise my wife. I was willing to pay more for that, but in the end we witnessed some sort of homophobia!
We will not return to this hotel, as the service is not good enough and the rooms are really small.
