First, I want to commend the property for all the work they have done to renovate and modernize an old building. All the common areas have been very tastefully decorated and the attention to detail was evident in the flooring, the elevators, the scent throughout the lobby area. The bar was cozy and inviting. The room we stayed in was very small and only had a double bed, which is fine for the price value. It also was decorated nicely (both the bedding and the bathroom). Service was another issue. Upon our arrival, the electrical outlet in the bathroom was not working and there were two lightbulbs out in the light fixture above the sink. The electrical outlet was eventually fixed after 2 requests, but the lightbulbs were never replaced. The thermostat in the room was on some sort of master system that could not be bypassed. I would set the AC high (to 78 because I do not like it cold) and by morning it would reset to 68. This happened every day. I went to the bar all three mornings to get coffee. First morning was fine. Second and third mornings there were no 12 oz coffee cups or Oat Milk. Finally, I booked my stay through Hotels.com and the hotel did not honor the price I was quoted on Hotels.com. It took me almost a week of back and forth to get it resolved and even then, I did not get a cash refund, but OneKey cash credit with Hotels.com. I visit Baltimore frequently as my daughter is in law school there and I will not be staying at this property again.
