An average Milan hotel. Unfortunately, average Milan hotel means bad in an international comparison. I've been to Milan 40-50 times and I've been to 25-30 different hotels. 90% of them are outdated with dark, small rooms and uncomfortable beds. If you book 3-4 star hotels like I do, be prepared for some unpleasant experiences in Milan. For a price of more than 180 euros per night you would expect a decent, up-to-date room - but what you'll get here at Soperga as well as in most other hotels of that class in Milan are:
- a small outdated room with hard mattresses and cheap blankets (no down duvet like you would get pretty much in any other European country in that hotel category / for that price)
- an outdated bathroom with a small, barely working shower and almost no amenities (no shampoo, no conditioner, no body lotion etc.)
- a sub-par breakfast
- etc.
Milan is a beautiful, vibrant city and I really do not understand most hotels are outdated and sub-par.
