Our room was falsely advertised, and had several damages/safety hazards that were not made clear before our arrival or during check-in. We arrived to a large top-to-bottom crack in main ocean view window, broken window screen from our 4th floor room, fireplace didn’t work, and leaky coffee maker. For all the room claimed to have, the only functioning feature was the jetted tub. When alerting the front desk right after check-in we were told damages had been there for a few weeks awaiting repair. When it’s a rainy winter weekend & you want a cozy ocean view stay with a fireplace, and none of it works, needless to say we were disappointed for what we paid. We have attempted to contact the owner of the property via email & phone immediately following our stay to resolve issues and haven’t heard back for 5 days. We knew it wasn’t one of the newly renovated rooms but we at least expected it to come functioning with what the description and pictures listed. Front desk staff were friendly but could not help with any issues and kept referring us to the owner. It’s disappointing since the hotel is in such a great location. Communication is key & it clearly wasn’t there before we arrived and hasn’t been since we have tried to seek help.
