Our stay at the hotel was good overall. The staff were really pleasant and helpful. Upon arrival, we were given a map of Rome with all the key tourist attractions highlighted, along with the nearest metro stops, which made exploring the city much easier.
However, we did feel a little swindled when we saw our room - the economy option. The photos on the website made all the rooms look beautiful and well-presented, but ours fell a little short of expectations. It had no natural light, felt quite warm despite the air conditioning, and was a bit small for two people. The bed also seemed to be a small double, making it feel rather snug.
One unexpected feature was the motion-activated floor light. We learned the hard way one night when, in the early hours, a quick reach for a glass of water triggered a light so bright it was almost as strong as the ceiling lamp! For the rest of our stay, we covered it with a spare blanket to ensure we could sleep properly.
Another thing to note is the city tax, which is €6 per night per person and must be paid in cash. While this is stated in the terms and conditions, it’s easy to miss - so it might be worth making it clearer at the time of booking.
One real highlight was the hotel’s luggage storage, which we used on our last day. It was a lifesaver, as the storage room also had a sofa and bathroom facilities, allowing us to relax before heading to the airport.
Overall, the stay was pleasant, and we would consider staying again!
