We were picked up at the Tao Pier by the hotelstaff and comfortably ridden to the hotel in a Songtaew.
The checkin was pretty quick, but a bit chaotic as nobody had a key of the room and a staff member had to jumble up one quickly.
The room was very comfortable, the bed was excellent and the bathroom was very nice. All in all very comfortable.
The view from the room was horrible though, we stared at a blank outside wall of the room across from us. (We did book the cheapest room though, because we were here for only one day, but don't expect ANY view in that one)
The electricity was really bad, it constantly browned out (flickering lights, the AC cutting out) and occasionally dropped out all together for half a minute or so. This in turn, turned off the AC and it didn't turn back on, so this meant a hot room in the morning. The brown outs didn't seem to happen to the bars and restaurants down the street, so i don't know if it's a hotel only problem, but it did look that way.
The staff was hands down the best staff we EVER had in Thailand. Especially the breakfast staff did their best to make sure you had everything you wanted. The breakfast itself was excellent, providing freshly squeezed juices (really fresh, squeezed in front of you), an omelette chef and a wide range of choices.
The pools were very nice and the view from the restaurant and the pools was beautiful.
It's only a short walk from Sairee beach, but they provide a shuttle free of charge.
