Extremely dissapointing!
Service was a joke, staff were friendly enough but not experienced and incompetent.
To call this a Restuarant with rooms is an insult to the concept. It was not even up to a gastro pub standard. when I asked which cheese was an the cheeseboard I was told " a white one, a blue one and cheddar!
We had booked a suite for 1275€ for 5 nights (which didn't even include breakfast)and were dissapointed to learn upon arrival that it no more than a garden room which smelt very strongly of wet dogs!
Reception could see my dissapointment but indicated that because I had booked through hotels.com that they could do nothing about it.
They did move us to the room next door but it still smelt of dogs and the sofa was covered In hairs.
The rooms were, according to the young lady, recently renovated. The decor was fresh but the carpets were far from it. Very worn, stained and smelt very strongly of dogs. The walls are so thin that you can clearly understand the TV and what people next door are saying.
The idea to let dogs stay is ok but should be limited to certain rooms and dogs should certainly not be allowed in the swimming pool, disgusting!
When checking out the lady didn't ask how our stay was or wish us a pleasant onward journey. She was instead only intent on taking payment as quickly as possible. I mentioned the fact that I wasn't happy after payment. She looked bewildered and didn't call for the manager or attempt in any way to apoplgise.
