Good location, terrible bed, crazy high resort fee
I visited South Lake Tahoe in the busiest part of the year: July The hotel was fully booked. The staff, though friendly, were extremely busy and didn't have time to give the guest attention. The resort fee for 3 days of over a 100 dollars (!) was just crazy. It's just extra money per night as if the base rate wasn't high enough for a renovated motel. A resort fee for what exactly? for use of the tiny pool? The absence of a gym? Parking motel style?
The worst part of the stay was the mattress. It was absolutely horrible, I was sleeping in a hole the whole time. Probably a 30 year old mattress they didn't update alongside the renovation. Don't pick room 630 for the massive 300 dollars a night.
I was dreading the nights of sleeping there. There was no way of changing rooms as it was fully booked. Coachman, please do better and place a new mattress there for new guests, they deserve it for the massive rate you're asking them to pay. You know you have the funds to do it
