Historic charm, modern comforts
This was our second stay. We love the historic charm with modern amenities. However, this time we learned the hard way to request a room in the inn, not the tavern, if you have bad knees like me or other slight mobility issues. The inn has an elevator, the tavern doesn't, so the stairs were a challenge with luggage. Otherwise a great experience again.

Inn or Out
We stayed Oct 2024. Checking in was easy, even though man was checking in guest and running/seating people in restaurant. Inn is quite old, so windows is room were very drafty & don't lock. Was a chilly night due to storm and heat ran all night. Hard to regulate heat. Room was cold or super hot.
Showers only had warm water, not hot.
Mirrors were so old had film on them.
Had frig, microwave and small TV (30imches maybe)

History with a Bourbon chaser
Very old (18th century) property. Center of town in a very well kept beautiful small town -- the very heart of Bourbon country. Lots of eating and drinking possibilities. We ate in the hotel which had a nice evening meal and an excellent breakfast.

Great location! Historic building!
This was a fun place to stay. It wasn’t a five star property, it’s old & a little bit run down, but I will stay here again! Location is great! Staff is great, room was clean! There is an outdoor patio on the second floor that is a shared space. We sipped bourbon & smoked cigars & had a great time.

Really cool old inn. Our room was fantastic with all the modern conveniences. Included breakfast was quite nice. They need to improve the check in process. Apparently they only have one computer and the other person was using it to book reservations for someone two months out. People were waiting for someone to seat them in the restaurant forever.

We were late arriving but I had called and they make arrangements on how to get the key. We were absolutely intrigued with the hotel and it's history. It was clean, comfortable, and entertaining. We will for sure tell our friends to come and visit.

We loved everything about this hotel! What a wonderful, unique and special experience! The hotel goes above and beyond to honor the historical significance of this inn! There is even a very cool app for self guided tours! Plus, all of the recommendations were spot on! The only negative is that there is no elevator. If you can’t do stairs, this hotel is not for you.

The Inn was quaint and historic, however don’t bother dining there. Food and service were subpar.
