Communication was super efficient via WhatsApp. Barbara who welcome us at the property was very friendly and helpful. All the recommendations and info we were given were very valuable especially since we were only staying for 2 nights. Very spacious family room and comfortable bed. Well located for the historic centre of the town. Once behind the main entrance door (don't let this part discourage you!), you will enter a very special place. The villa is on the first floor and is amazing. So beautiful inside. Plenty restaurants, cafés to eat out and places of interest for a first time visitor in Naples are within walking distance. We hope to come back one day. More convenient. Despite the very central location in the historic district, there is a taxi rank just on the side of the little street the accommodation is located on and the access via the metro from the train station is easy enough via stop "Dante". Direct line from the train station. Thank you Barbara. Perfect!

Lovely place in the old city near all the action but quiet and safe. Spacious room for a family of 4. Staff was lovely and gave us some great recommendations for food. Don’t let Naples’s grit scare you, it’s a beautiful place.

Casa Hosteno is a ln absolutely beautiful and quiet property, tucked away in a lane-way in the heart of Napoli. Our family of five were very comfortable. Pierpaolo is an incredibly welcoming host who shared the family history of the property and provided us with exceptional suggestions that made our visit memorable.

Hotel receptionist and staff are very friendly and accommodating. I felt like they went above and beyond for any requests we made. We were able to check in a little earlier and this made our first day! It was very nice of them. The location was perfect! We walked to most of the tourist attractions. Tons or bars, restaurants, shops and cafes in walking distance. The only downfall was there was an odor in the downstairs bathroom which we addressed. It smelled like a sewer. They tried to fix the issue but we could still smell it and we locked off the bathroom and didn’t use it.

Suggerirei acqua di cortesia nel minibar tutti giorni, cuffie per la doccia e qualche bustina di bagnoschiuma in più. E colazione inclusa, se non da Scaturchio in un luogo prossimo. We loved staying at Casa Hosteno in Naples. We arrived in the evening and were able to get a late check in. The building was a little hard to find when we arrived off a long flight (tiredness played a large part!) but we were given very good instructions and once you were through the gate and up to the hotel, it was just wonderful. Barbara was super helpful with tips for the city, restaurants and transport options to get around. It’s in a central, easy to get to many Naples sites and had a helpful taxi rank just outside.

Wonderful staff who are eager to help and greeted us with a warm welcome. Large spacious suite. Feels more like an air bnb than a hotel as it is housed in an old mansion that was converted into an apartment building. The common spaces of the building are very run down and dreary. The biggest problem with the hotel is it overly scented, including the rooms. If you have environmental sensitivities, this is not the place for you. The hotel is perfectly situated for exploring the historic district which is in a state of rapid decline. We last visited the district five years ago and we were shocked by how it has changed - garbage everywhere, buildings crumbling, stench of urine and worse.

This hotel is a little oasis in the Old City of Napoli, which is a very vibrant area! It was close to everything and walkable. It was originally a family villa apartment of Pierpaolo, who converted it to a hotel and who greeted me when I arrived. He was so kind and spent a long time with me, marking places to see and restaurants on a map, and providing me with a lot of information about Napoli. Barbara helps manage the hotel and she was wonderful. Whenever I had a question I could text her and her response was immediate. She even made a restaurant reservation for me one night. A simply lovely person. I felt so very welcomed by them both. It's not often you have accommodations with people so intent on making you feel this welcomed and supported. Although the hotel is in the heart of the action, it is very quiet inside. And the villa apartment which is now the hotel, has beautiful original old artwork, fresco, antiques as well as wonderful floor tiles and wood work in the public areas. The room did not disappoint, it was a studio with stairs to a bedroom loft and it was immediately apparent that attention was also made to art and design of the room. Casa Hosteno was one of the highlights of our trip. The house itself is beautiful, tucked right in the heart of the old town, and Barbara was an exceptional host — friendly, attentive, and full of great local tips. The location couldn’t have been better, with easy access to the metro, trains, and ferries for exploring Naples and the nearby islands, plus countless fantastic restaurants just a short walk away. Highly recommend!

Wonderful Stay at Casa Hosteno

I had a wonderful stay at Casa Hosteno. Barbara was very kind and helpful, which made us feel truly welcome. The beds were very comfortable and the room was beautiful and quiet. My family and I felt completely at ease and at home. I can recommend this place 100% to anyone looking for a great stay.
