Haad Rin

Haad Rin is the best-known town in Koh Phangan thanks to the monthly Full Moon Party. For dedicated partygoers, it’s probably the best town on the island, but for those seeking the ‘real’ Thailand, it can be a bit of a letdown.

There are 2 main beaches in Haad Rin – Sunrise Beach and Sunset Beach – which are separated by a rocky headland. Between the beaches is a warren of alleys lined with bars, restaurants, pharmacies and simple shops selling beachwear. Haad Rin can get somewhat claustrophobic in the heat of the day. At night, the place truly lights up with bars, pubs and clubs pumping out music.
