I couldn’t figure out why the reviews for this hotel were either absolutely horrible or really good. From the moment I checked in and saw the room, I knew why they got so many negative reviews. Firstly, I reserved a king room. After I got there, I was told they had no more kings; they gave us “the only room available” which was a double, on the parking lot side.
The blinds over the windows are slotted, so they let the spotlights from the parking lot shine directly through.
The floors were absolutely not mopped; we took one of their towels, a little bit of water, and “mopped” them ourselves, the towels turned black.
The room they gave us had no clock, no phone, no garbage pail, mo ice bucket, and no toiletries.
The very second day of our stay, our door decided to stop locking completely. The front desk staff was absolutely amazing about it though, and told me they would change our room. The only room available was on the 3rd floor, and when I told them I couldn’t do that many stairs, they gave us a double-bed pool side room on the 2nd floor. As we walked to the room, we passed literally 5 empty king rooms on the first floor.
I’m sorry, is that not what I reserved? And you’re over here telling me I HAVE TO stay in a double on the 2nd floor?
This 2nd room I can’t complain about.
They do have an elevator, but I would hazard a guess that it hasn’t worked in about 10 years.
Moral of the story: either don’t stay at all, or make sure you get a room poolside. The end.
