We chose this hotel based on its location and we weren't disappointed. It is set away from the main, busy road, but is only around 200 meters from the entrance to the ruins of Pompeii, as well as a stop on the Circumvesuviana train which can take you into Naples or onwards to Sorrento. In addition, within about a km is the "main strip" of modern Pompeii, with a nice variety of restaurants and shops. The staff at the hotel were friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet was fine, and the rooms were scrupulously clean. In addition, there was more than ample parking for cars, and the pool was nice (it was a bit too cold for us to use it much as we went near the end of October). We could see the Bay of Naples from our balcony and catch the last rays of sun. This is not a design/boutique hotel, though! The decor is somewhat dated and the rooms are very simple. In fact, the TV wasn't really working when we were there. We found the price reasonable and would recommend the hotel to anyone who is interested in seeing the sights of Pompeii, Herculaneum, and Naples.
