Great location for city centre, but at a cost. We were there for 2 nights on business.
Some things to watch for though.
Issue 1: Be aware - it is VERY noisy at night time outside until very late.
This was an issue for me because of:-
Issue 2: there was no working air con in the 2 rooms on floor 4 that we had.
We had to open the windows just for some fresh air, leading directly back to issue 1 (most of the night) = Very poor sleep because of the drunken noise/bars outside.
Issue 3: don't be "conned" into paying for their breakfast. A slice of toast, a croissant and a £1 cheap porridge pot really do not warrant this charge! I can deal with it being continental, I just don't enjoy being conned for the cost of such a basic array of food.
Issue 4: the breakfast area in this hotel is carnage! It was genuinely like feeding time at the zoo. Survival of the fittest at its best, 100+ guests aimlessly pushing/shoving to get to 1 single toaster and 2 basic coffee machines. There was NO staff intervention, or assistance at all.
Save it and go to Greggs for a breakfast roll - even that is a more pleasurable experience!
Otherwise... Overall - not a bad place... ;)
