This is not a five-star hotel as it claims to be. I was greeted by a step ladder used for renovations right outside my room, which I had to move myself just to get through. Debris was left uncleared outside the door. The door wasn't closed properly, which made me feel a little uncomfortable. The room smelled strongly of fresh paint, and there were moths everywhere - I had to kill quite a few myself.
There was no garbage bin, no hairdryer, and no hangers provided. When I requested a room change, I was told none were available, but I was offered a complimentary dinner instead, which I appreciated.
To be honest, the restaurant and its staff earned this place a second star; otherwise, it would’ve been a one-star review. Housekeeping didn’t seem to do much beyond replacing towels and emptying the trash. Tea bags weren’t replenished, and the room just didn’t feel clean overall.
The only real highlight was the location - very close to Earl’s Court on the Piccadilly Line.
